The Dr. Edna B. McKenzie Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) invites you to commemorate the Historic Marker Ceremony for Negro Mountain on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Keyser's Ridge Shop located at 3876 National Pike, Accident, MD 21520.
Featured speakers at the dedication ceremony include William Pines PE, PMP, CCM, State Highway Administrator, and Ronald B. Saunders, president of Dr. Edna B. McKenzie Branch of ASALH. A meet-and-greet reception will immediately follow the dedication ceremony. Shuttles will run every 5-10 minutes beginning at 11:15 a.m. to Negro Mountain.
Chairs will be provided and event will occur rain or shine.
