The Frostburg State University Center for Literary Arts will hold the fourth annual Rock ’n’ Read Fundraiser on Sunday, April 10, from 2 to 7 p.m., at Dante’s, 14 W. Main St. in Frostburg, featuring bands, poets and an art show in which words and images are combined. Admission is $5 and the proceeds support programming at the Center for Literary Arts.

The event will feature musical performances by Lime Stone Connection, featuring Baltimore writers Holly Morse Ellington and Jason Tinney; Red Clover Ghost, which features writer-musicians the Cochram brothers; The Velvet Undertronic, an electronica band fronted by Dr. Greg Wood, FSU associate professor of history; and Ghost Halftones, a band composed of members of Codorus Press, playing a tribute to the music of R.E.M.

Poetry readings will be performed by Doug VanGundy, a musician and poet from West Virginia Wesleyan College; FSU’s Gerry LaFemina; and Christina Stroud, editor of Pittsburgh's Autumn House Press.

The fourth annual Word & Image Project will also be featured as part of Rock ’n’ Read. This art exhibition focuses on work that engages and/or is inspired by poems and includes work from regional artists who have incorporated text into their artwork.
