FSU’s Department of Music to Host Brass Fest! 2024
The Frostburg State University Department of Music will hold its Brass Fest! 2024 on Friday, Feb. 16, from noon to 7 p.m. High school brass students are invited to spend a day at FSU as participants in the Brass Festival. This event is free. Register at https://forms.frostburg.edu/214.
Brass instructors participating in the event include Dr. Avery Pettigrew, horn; Joshua Bishop, euphonium; and Dr. Donald Albrecht, trumpet.
Registered students will receive a free 30-minute lesson voucher, assistance with scholarship audition preparation and a free dinner and will take part in sectional coaching by FSU faculty and Brass Ensemble rehearsal.
The event will culminate in a concert at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center with performances by FSU brass faculty, current FSU brass students and registered Brass Fest! students. The concert is free and open to the public
All who register will be accepted. Registration must be submitted by Thursday, Feb. 15, at 9 p.m.
