FSU Department of Music to Present Vocal Studio Recitals
The Frostburg State University Department of Music presents Vocal Studio Recital No. 1 on Monday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 pm in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.
Featuring FSU vocal majors studying with Dr. Tory Browers the recital will feature a mix of classical, opera and musical theatre style works. Scheduled on the program:
Rachel Cox, soprano - Mozart's Vedrai Carino, from "Don Giovanni"
Gabriel Harper, tenor - Mozart's O image angel bright and fair from "Die Zauberflöte", and The Sally Gardens arranged by Britten
Samantha Donaldson, soprano - Early one morning arranged by Britten, and Star vicino, author anonymous
Christopher Hess, baritone - Ca the yowes arranged by Britten, and Miracles of Miracles from "The Fiddler on the Roof" by Jerry Bock
Danielle Garratt, mezzo-soprano - Gladys Rich's American Lullaby, and The Nurse's Song from "A Charm of Lullabies, Op. 41" by Britten
David Cook, tenor - The Last Rose of Summer arranged by Britten, and Pamiętam ciche, jasne, złote dnie by Mieczysław Karłowicz
Tonya Jones, soprano - Handel's Angels Ever Bright and Fair from "Theodora", and Fauré's Mai
Reese Barber, baritone - Brahms' Sonntag, and Torelli's Tu lo sai
Aliyah Nowlin, soprano - Rodrigo's Vos me matésteis from "Quatro Madrigales Amatorias", and Rodgers' I have dreamed from "The King and I"
Madelyn Torres, soprano - Lucy Simon's How could I ever know? from "The Secret Garden", and Frederick Loewe's I could have danced all night from "My Fair Lady"
