FSU Student Eric Foreman to Present Senior Saxophone Recital
Frostburg State University student Eric Foreman will present his senior saxophone recital on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. He will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Joseph Yungen. This event is free and open to the public.
Foreman’s program will include “I. Allegro Moderato,” “II. Siciliano” and “III. Allegro” from “Sonata No. 2” by Johann Sebastian Bach, edited by J. Michael Leonard; “I. Allegro con moto,” “II. Larghetto” and “III. Animato molto” from “Concertino de Camera by Jacques Ibert; and “I. Tres modere, expressif,” “II. Andante,” “III. Filuese” and “IV. Nocturne et Final” from “Sonata in C-sharp” by Fernande Decruck.
At FSU, Barber studies under Dr. Brent Weber. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha International Music Fraternity and the National Association for Music Education. Barber anticipates graduating in May 2019 with a bachelor’s in music education. He plans to become a professor of music at a university. The son of Alan and Roxanne Foreman of Cumberland, he is a graduate of Fort Hill High School.
