Dr. Brian J. Hasslinger Presents Research on the Paleo Diet at FSU

Dr. Brian J. Hasslinger, a specialist in evaluation and treatment of allergens, will speak about his research on the Paleo diet on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. in room 220-B of the Cordts Physical Education Center at Frostburg State University. The presentation is geared toward athletic training and exercise and sport science majors, but the community is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event.

Hasslinger, board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology, has been investigating the benefits of a Paleolithic diet and presented his research at the Pan-American Allergy Society Conference last year. He concluded the diet provides several benefits to general health and wellness and is especially relevant for athletes who are trying to maximize their performance capacity. Athletes who had food allergies performed at much higher levels while following the Paleo diet.
