FSU to Present “Lighter Than Air” Exhibition by Fine Arts Students
Frostburg State University will present the “Lighter Than Air” exhibition, a collection of graduating fine arts students’ artwork, on Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m. in the Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery in the Fine Arts Building. The exhibition is free and will be available for public viewing until Tuesday, April 29.
Amber Haning, a painting student with minors in art history and chemistry, currently specializes in the use of watercolor and ink. She recently signed a two-year contract with a private art conservator and will be moving to Washington, D.C., after graduation.
Linda Magruder, a painting student, will display a collection of landscapes. Her future pursuits include a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and she hopes to one day open her own gallery.
Sara Volk will graduate with a dual-focus in painting and ceramics. Her future endeavors also include a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from FSU.
Thomas Markowski is obtaining a dual-focus degree in photography and graphic design. He will display a variety of photographs that delve into the ethereal realm of the human psyche.
Dathan Schline, a graphic design student, will show a collection of computer-crafted images ranging from objective work into the abstract. Schline hopes to work in the movie or gaming industry.
