Prokofiev Guitar Duo - Guest Artist Series Recital

FSU Department of Music is proud to host the World Artists Experiences (WAE) and Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia presentation of the Prokofiev Guitar Duo of Nejc Kuhar & Mak Grgic on Tuesday, October 25, at 7:30pm in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center.  The concert is free and open to the public.  Donations to WAE are appreciated.

Nejc Kuhar and Mak Grgic, both former students of the revered guitar master Alvaro Pierri, at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, live now on completely different sides of the world. Mak is on faculty at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, and in addition to curating festivals both in the US and Europe, he spends a distinct portion of his time on the road performing. Nejc holds professorship at the Vienna Music Academy and Frankfurt Music School, and is as Mak an active performer. When their paths meet they enjoy performing together in Prokofiev Guitar Duo, a collaboration that was established already during their times in Vienna. After their last US tour, which took the duo to the National Gallery of Art, it has been almost three years since they performed in the D.C.  area. Prokofiev Guitar Duo is returning with a program consisting of original music, intricate arrangements and Spanish classics.
