Roundabout Children’s Theatre Presents “Pinkalicious the Musical” at FSU
Celebrate the dizzying world of “pink” with the Roundabout Children’s Theatre on Friday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. in the Drama Theatre of the Performing Arts Center at Frostburg State University. Sponsored by FSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance and directed by Jennifer Clark, “Pinkalicious the Musical,” is based on the popular children’s book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, with music by John Gregor.
In this sweet tale, Pinkalicious eats so many pink cupcakes that her dream to radiate pink comes true. Even after the doctor diagnoses her with an acute case of pinkititis, she can’t stop eating pink cupcakes. When the pinkititis takes a turn for the worse, Pinkalicious learns that the world of pink has limitations, and she must find a way out of her pink predicament.
“Pinkalicious” celebrates the power of one young girl’s imagination. With songs like “Pinkarific,” “Pinkititis” and “Pink Blues,” this musical is a dream come true for all pink-loving girls and boys and lots of fun for any color-loving kid.
Before the Nov. 3 show, everyone is invited to a “Pinkalicious Party” with playful activities for kids from noon until 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center lobby.
