Weigl and Winik will read on Thursday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lyric Theater, 20 E. Main St. in Frostburg, Md.
The reading is free and open to the public.
Weigl is a Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet whose experiences in the Vietnam War are often reflected in his work. He has co-edited several anthologies of war poetry.
Winik is the author of nine books of creative nonfiction and poetry whose essays have been published in The New York Times Magazine, The Sun, Poets and Writers and others. Her commentaries for “All Things Considered” are collected at www.npr.org, and she regularly reviews books for Newsday.
