Meet Ben Franklin for Constitution Day

Ort Library Celebrates Constitution Day at Frostburg State University

Frostburg State University will celebrate the 230th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution with events on Monday, Sept. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lewis J. Ort Library.

An actor portraying Ben Franklin, an original signer of the Constitution, will be in attendance, and participants will receive a free pocket-sized copy of the constitution from the third floor’s circulation desk along with a copy of “The U.S. Constitution and Fascinating Facts About It.” In addition, constitution crossword puzzles will be available on the fourth floor, where there is the Constitution Day display.

A Constitution Day Guide with links and tabs to government podcasts, an Interactive Constitution App, constitutional games and PBS’ “Kanopy” videos can be found on libguides.frostburg.edu/constitution.
