A DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC EVENT. Soprano Kristin Brown will present her Senior Recital on Friday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.
Accompanied by pianist Jay DeWire, Ms. Brown will perform the following works:
"Cuatros Madrigales Amatorios" by Joaquin Rodrigo;
"Batti, Batti o bel Masetto" (from "Don Giovanni"), "Deh vieni, non tardar" (from "Le Nozze di Figaro"), and "Ach, ich fuhl’s" (from "The Magic Flute") by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart;
"O mio babbino caro" (from Gianni Schicchi) by Giacomo Puccini;
"Steal Away", "Give Me Jesus", "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child", and "Were You There" by Henry Thacker Burleigh;
"What I Did for Love" (from "A Chorus Line") by Marvin Hamlisch;
"Till there was You" (from "The Music Man") by Meredith Willson;
"People" (from "Funny Girl") by Jules Styne.
For her encore she'll perform "Sous le dôme épais" (from "Lakmé") by Clément Philibert Léo Delibes and "Londonderry Air" arranged by Mark D. Lew.
