Mezzo-Soprano Jessica Knouse to Present Junior Recital at FSU

Frostburg State University’s Department of Music will present a junior recital by mezzo-soprano Jessica Knouse on Sunday, May 5, at 6 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public. This event has been rescheduled from its original Feb. 17 date.

Knouse will perform works by Stephano Donaudy, Vincenzo Bellini, Franz Schubert, Henry Purcell, W.A. Mozart, Manuel de Falla, William Bolcom and Claude-Michel Shonberg. She will be accompanied by Dr. James DeWire on piano.

Knouse studies music with FSU instructor Dr. Karen Soderberg, and is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women. A graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, Md., she expects to graduate from FSU in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. Knouse is the daughter of Daniel and Deborah Schimming of Jarrettsville, Md.
