Frostburg State University Presents Wind Ensemble in “Song and Dance”

The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present the FSU Wind Ensemble in its first concert of the fall semester, “Song and Dance,” on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center.

Conducted by Dr. Philip Klickman, the ensemble will open the program with “American Overture for Band” by Joseph Wilcox Jenkins. The concert will feature energetic music from two sets of dances – “Four Scottish Dances” by Malcolm Arnold and “Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett. The lyrical side of the program will be heard in “Irish Tune from County Derry” by Percy Grainger and “Serenade” by Derek Bourgeois.

Tickets for the performance are $10 for general admission, $5 for seniors and veterans, $3 for students and free for children 12 and younger.
