FSU’s Department of Music to Present Highlights From Mozart’s Comic Opera

Frostburg State University’s Department of Music Opera Theatre will perform highlights from Mozart’s comic opera “Cosi fan tutte” on Friday, Nov. 8, and Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The presentation is free and open to the public. All scenes, appropriate for all ages, will be performed in English and in modern settings.

Join the cast, under the direction of Dr. Mariana Mihai-Zoeter, as they present selected scenes to tell Mozart’s sweet and fun story about romance, the war between the sexes and testing the ties of love.

Opera members include sopranos Bailey Kerr, Sakkara Turner and Allison Moses; mezzo-sopranos Mikayla Young and Stephanie Laut; baritone Zachary Dodge; tenors Lane Conklin and Robert Brown; and bass Matthew Purnell. The production will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Jay DeWire, clarinetist Dr. Mark Gallagher and bassoonist Dr. Brent Weber.
