FSU’s Department of Music to Present Opera Theatre Performances of “Forbidden Love”

Frostburg State University’s Opera Theatre will present two performances with the theme of “Forbidden Love” on Saturday, April 13, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. Both performances are free and open to the public.

Opera Director Dr. Mariana Mihai-Zoeter and pianist Dr. Jay DeWire, together with student sopranos Bailey Kerr and Britany Poindexter, mezzo-sopranos Mikayla Young and Stephanie Laut, tenor Lane Conklin and baritone Zachary Dodge, will present arias and scenes from Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” and “The Pearl Fishers,” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience” and “The Mikado” and Giuseppe Verdi’s “Rigoletto.”
