FSU Jazz Orchestra to Present Final Concert, “Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue”

Frostburg State University’s Jazz Orchestra, led by Dr. Brent Weber, will present its final concert “Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue” on Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

The first half of the concert will highlight works made famous by Buddy Rich, Glen Miller, Count Basie, Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra and will feature two talented student vocalists. The second half of the concert will present big band tunes by Pat Metheny and Herbie Hancock to demonstrate where jazz is going today.
