FSU Brass Ensemble Concert

The Frostburg State University Brass Ensemble, directed by Kevin M. McManus, will be presenting a concert on Friday, November 15th at 7:30 p.m in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center.

Brass members accompanied by pianist Dr. Sean Beachy will present numerous works by Leonard Bernstein, including Brass Music: Rondo for Lifey, featuring trumpeter Evan Schutz; Elegy for Mippy I, featuring trumpeter Jeremy Johnson; Elegy for Mippy II, featuring trombonist Marc Williams;  Waltz for Mippy, featuring tubist Hunter Martin; and Fanfare for Bima for brass quartet.  The concert also includes Eric Ewazen's Grand Valley Fanfare, William Billings' Chester, and Guami's Canzon a4 #3, as well as Kevin McManus' new transcription for brass of My Home Among the Hills.

The concert is free and open to the public.
