FSU Brass Ensemble Concert

FSU Music Department to Present Brass Ensemble

The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present the FSU Brass Ensemble concert Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will begin with “Also Sprach Zarathustra,” the theme from “2001: A Space Odyssey” by Richard Strauss. The recital will also contain “Galliard Battaglia” by Samuel Scheidt, “Quintet No. 1” by Victor Ewald, “Three Pieces” by Johann Pezel and “America the Beautiful” by Samuel A. Ward. The recital concert will close with “A Western Farefare” by Eric Ewazen, a piece that captures the excitement and beauty of the Santa Barbara Music Academy.
