Evan Schutz, Trumpet - Junior Recital

Evan Schutz will present his junior trumpet recital on Monday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 pm in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center.  He will be accompanied by Dr. Jay DeWire on piano. Special guests include Brent Madsen and the FSU Brass Ensemble consisting of Jeremy Johnson on trumpet, Geoffrey Westbrook on horn, Marc Williams on trombone and Hunter Martin on tuba.

Schutz will perform “Fanfare for a New Theatre” by Igor Stravinsky; “Fantasia, No. 2” and “Fantasia, No. 9” by Georg Philipp Telemann; “Claire de Lune” by Claude Debussy; “Sonata for Trumpet and Piano” by Halsey Stevens; “Boutade” by Pierre Gabay; “A Nun Takes the Veil, Op. 13, No. 1,” “The Secrets of the Old, Op. 13, No. 2” and “Sure on This Shining Night, Op. 13, No. 3” by Samuel Barber; and “Grand Valley Fanfare” by Eric Ewazen.

The recital is free and open to the public.
