Department of Geography 50th Anniversary: Anniversary Banquet

An Anniversary Banquet for alumni of Geography-affiliated programs will be held Saturday evening at Giuseppe’s Italian Restaurant in Frostburg. A social hour will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. and then dinner from 7 to 8:15 p.m., followed by a presentation at 8:15 p.m. by Keith Witt on “Using Geography and Mapping to Promote Appalachian Development.” Witt, who earned his degree in 1996, is a geographic information specialist for the Appalachian Regional Commission in Washington, D.C. Pre-registration for the dinner is required.

FSU’s Department of Geography administers major programs in geography, earth science, environmental analysis and planning, and urban and regional planning.
