FSU Student Daniel Bedwell to Present Junior Guitar Recital

Frostburg State University student Daniel Bedwell will present his junior guitar recital on Saturday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Woodward D. Pealer Performing Arts Center. He will be assisted by guest artists Grant Stryckning on bass guitar and Ryan Barber on drums. The recital is free and open to the public.

Bedwell’s program will include “Julia Florida” by Agustin Barrios; “Allemanda,” “Sarabande and Double” and “Tempo di Bourrée and Double” from “Violin Partita No. 1, BWV 1002” by Johann Sebastian Bach; “La Tarantella, Op. 24b, No. 14” by Mauro Giuliani; “I Can’t Get Started” by Vernon Duke; and “The Wind Cries Mary” and “Foxey Lady” by Jimi Hendrix.

At FSU, Bedwell studies classical guitar under Patrick Sise and jazz guitar under Anthony Ambroso. He has been on the dean’s list and is a member of Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity. Bedwell anticipates graduating in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in music. His career goals are to perform and teach. Bedwell is a graduate of Hereford High School in Parkton, Md.
