Experience the sound of a full band created by the human voice when the Cultural Events Series at Frostburg State University presents Naturally 7 on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in FSU’s Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall. This On the EDGE series event features informal table seating, comfortable couch and armchair seating, and a free appetizer and a cash bar, and is co-sponsored by Student Activities/Late at Lane.
The seven-man crew uses their voices as instruments to present a powerful performance incorporating soul, rap, rock and folk. “To call them an a cappella group would be a gross understatement,” stated the Boston Globe, “for they performed songs with trumpets, electric guitars, bass cello, harmonica, a full drum kit, and more—using only their voices." Music legend Quincy Jones proclaimed them to be “the future of vocal music” and “the best a cappella group in the world.”
In their 20 year history, Naturally 7 has received standing ovations throughout the world for their jaw-dropping audio pyrotechnics. They have shared the stage with artists including Herbie Hancock, Michael Bublé, Mahalia Jackson, Coldplay and Queen, and in 2019, they were named best group on the hit television series, “The World’s Best.”
Performance tickets are $15 for adults and $13.50 for youth under 18. Military, package and group discount rates are also available.
