FSU’s Department of Music to Host Virtual Brass Fest Spring 2021
The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present its virtual Brass Fest Spring 2021 on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. High school brass students are invited to spend a day with FSU as participants in the Brass Festival. This event is free. Register at www.frostburg.edu/BrassFest.
Brass instructors participating in the event include Dr. Jacob Dalager, trumpet; Dr. Avery Pettigrew, horn; and Dr. Anthony Walker, low brass.
The festival includes a Q&A with FSU brass faculty and the department chair, assistance with scholarship audition preparation and a chance to hear FSU’s brass faculty perform.
A free 30-minute lesson will be awarded to the first five registrants in each instrument area (trumpet, horn and low brass). Winners will be notified via email. The festival Zoom link will be provided once registration is received.
All who register will be accepted. Registration must be submitted by Monday, Feb. 15, at 9 p.m.
