Amanda Gold, Clarinet - Senior Recital

Gold to Perform in Senior Recital at FSU

Frostburg State University’s Department of Music will present Amanda Gold’s senior clarinet recital on Friday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. She will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Jay DeWire and clarinetists Sierra Green, Sarah Galvin, Heather Wahl and Dr. Mark Gallagher. This event is free and open to the public.

With a major in FSU’s Department of Music, Gold studies music performance with Gallagher. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music performance and aims to one day play in a military band. Gold is the daughter of Graham and Laura Gold of Baltimore, where in 2009 she graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Gold’s performance will feature music by Felix Mendelssohn, Leslie Bassett, Bernhard H. Crusell, Claude Debussy and Alfred Uhl.
