FSU’s Activities for Life Offers Beginner’s and Basic Tumbling Classes
Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer two sessions of a beginner’s tumbling class for children ages 3 and 4 and a basic tumbling class for children ages 5 to 8 years in room 106 of the Cordts Physical Education Center. Session 1 will take place on Thursdays, Sept. 14 through Oct. 12, and session 2 from Oct. 19 to Nov. 16. The beginner’s class will be held from 5 to 5:50 p.m. and the basic class will be from 6 to 6:50 p.m.
The beginner’s class will focus on skills like stretching, forward and backward rolls, cartwheels and handstands.
The basic class will introduce handstands, backbend kick-overs, front walkovers and round-offs and will even start to work on back handsprings. New skills will be incorporated with games and activities.
The instructors are Holly Biggs, Asia Gaffney and Amber Oliff.
The payment deadline is the Monday before the start of each class. Registration is capped at 15 children per class. To register your child, contact Amy Nazelrod, the Activities for Life coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-687-7934.
